Subject: Street Sign Work Party This Saturday and Sunday!
Chadd's Lake Neighbors,
The Streetlight Project is here now! As you have probably seen, Cobb EMC is in the neighborhood and has started their part of installing our new streetlights. Each light will be replaced with a cast iron style post (actually anodized aluminum). These should be finished this week.
The street signs are also ready to be installed. The old signs have been pulled out and the new holes have been dug, ready for us to put the new sign posts in.
Skip King and Tom Coffin will be leading work parties this weekend. Meet us at the tennis court parking lot at 9:00 on Saturday 3/13 to kick off the work. We'll have treats and snacks for all the workers. Hot chocolate and coffee to kick the day off and a cookout to end the day. The second work party will start on at 1:00 on Sunday 3/14 at the tennis courts and we'll finish up the work. Again, treats and snacks will be provided. Join us for one or both!
The work parties will be made up of kids (supervisors) and parents (laborers) and we are looking for ALL the supervisors in our community to play a role. We'll have Jack Baldwin's trailer to help carry the posts and gravel around the neighborhood and we'll be installing the sign posts, putting together the signs and mounting the signs on the posts. Teens who volunteer will receive letters noting the community service hours they have performed.
Email Tom at email@example.com or call at 404-862-3969 for any further details
So put on your work gloves, bring the family and come join the neighborhood for a weekend of satisfying work and good old fashioned fun!
